Fortec Motorsports concluded its 2025 Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, campaign with a battling top 10 finish for Henry Joslyn at Brands Hatch over the weekend (October 3–5).
Friday’s practice sessions took place in challenging wet and slippery conditions, with Henry finishing ninth fastest. Qualifying on Saturday morning was held under clear skies, but early in the session he encountered a rear wing issue. Fortunately, a red flag allowed the team time to make repairs, enabling him to return to the track for the final 10 minutes and post the 14th quickest time.
Race one brought further challenges. A slow getaway dropped the BRDC Rising Star to the back of the field, but he quickly began to climb through the order, gaining several places within the opening five minutes. In the closing stages he broke clear of a midfield battle to finish 15th, completing a determined recovery drive.
“Quali didn’t quite go to plan,” he said. “A slow launch from the grid dropped me to the back of the field, but I pushed hard to make my way up to P15.”
Sunday’s second race began with Henry making a strong start, gaining a place off the line and another at Paddock Hill Bend on lap two. By mid-distance he had climbed to 10th, also setting the fastest lap of the race at that stage. He crossed the line in 10th but was promoted to ninth following a rival’s disqualification.
In the final race of the season, Henry made another good start and completed a clean move around the outside at Clark Curve to move into 13th. Despite pressuring the car ahead throughout the remainder of the contest, overtaking opportunities proved limited and he held the position to the chequered flag.
Henry’s impressive maiden British F4 season – which included seven overall podium finishes – means he ends the year ninth in the championship standings. Fortec Motorsports will announce its 2026 plans in due course.
