Fortec Motorsports made it back-to-back weekends with double podiums in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA, taking a second and third place finish at Oulton Park (June 20-22).

Friday’s practice sessions proved productive, with Ary ending the day third fastest and Henry sixth on combined times. Qualifying on a cloudy but humid Saturday was closely contested, and as rain began to fall near the end of the session, a red flag was shown – Ary secured a superb fourth on the grid, with Henry just behind in fifth.

The opening race of the weekend was red flagged early on due to an incident at the start line. Upon the restart, Henry bogged down slightly, allowing Ary to challenge. The pair settled into third and fourth respectively, though Ary slipped to fifth on the second lap.

Fighting back, Ary closed in by the halfway point of the 20-minute contest, but despite running in his rival’s wake, he was unable to find a clear passing opportunity, taking a solid result at the flag. Henry, meanwhile, claimed his fifth podium of the season. “I struggled to put it together in qualifying, so I was very happy to get a podium from that one,” said Henry.

Both drivers made good starts in race two, gaining a position each, in significantly cooler conditions than the previous two days. However, the race proved largely processional, with limited overtaking. Henry held sixth to the flag, with Ary maintaining eighth.

The final race began on a damp circuit following earlier rain. Ary made a strong start, moving into third, with Henry up to fifth. Both drivers ran well in the early stages, but the weather took a sudden turn as rain began to fall again. The leading two cars slid off at the final corner, and while Ary initially avoided the drama, he clipped another car’s front wing, damaging his suspension and forcing him into retirement.

As the field reshuffled, Henry moved up to second. However, a red flag was shown before a full lap could be completed under green conditions. The race resumed behind the Safety Car for seven minutes but was red flagged again after just a lap and a half. “It was a bit damp to start, and at the last corner it started to pour and the top three went off as there was no grip. I braked a bit earlier than them to stay on track and got to P2,” said Henry.

Fortec Motorsports now looks ahead to continuing its strong, front-running form at the special non-championship Wera Tools British F4 races held alongside the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, over the weekend of 4–6 July.
