Fortec Motorsports is pleased to confirm that Jack Taylor will return to the team in 2026 as he steps up to the GB3 Championship.

The 17-year-old has competed with Fortec in the GB4 Championship for the past two seasons, making the bold decision in 2024 to relocate from his family home in Launceston, Tasmania, to pursue his racing ambitions in the United Kingdom.

As a Rookie in 2024, Jack secured a maiden podium and more than a dozen top-10 finishes. He built on that progress last year with two victories, two pole positions and a further two podium finishes, underlining his continued development and growing consistency at the front of the field.

Over the winter he returned closer to home to compete in the Formula Regional Oceania Trophy in New Zealand, measuring himself against some of the sport’s leading talents. He claimed pole position at Taupō and recorded two top-five finishes at Teretonga, ending the campaign third in the Rookie standings.

Now preparing for the next step in his career, Jack is set to contest the opening three rounds of the GB3 Championship as he continues discussions around funding and sponsorship, with the aim of securing a full-season programme.

The 2026 GB3 season begins at Silverstone in April and includes visits to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and the Hungaroring in Hungary during the early part of the campaign. Six of the eight events will take place at current Formula 1 World Championship venues, reinforcing the series’ status as a key pathway for drivers targeting progression to the FIA Formula 3 Championship.

Oliver Dutton, Team Principal

“Jack has developed enormously over the past two seasons with us. His progression from consistent points-finisher to race winner shows both his natural ability and his commitment to improvement. GB3 is a significant step up, particularly given the quality of circuits and competition, but we believe he is ready for the challenge. Our focus will be on helping him adapt quickly and build momentum from the opening rounds.”

Jack Taylor

“I very excited to return to Fortec Motorsports, who have been fantastic over the past two seasons. We’ve worked well together and I’ve made a lot of progress thanks to the team’s support, so I know they are the right place for me as I step up to GB3. I’ve had a strong winter racing in New Zealand and I’m looking forward to lining up on the grid at Silverstone in April, so a big thank you to Megapoxy, European Stone Masons, and of course Fortec for making this possible.”
