Fortec Motorsports opened its 2026 Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, with a point‑scoring weekend for all four drivers at Donington Park (18/19 April), as the team’s brand‑new line‑up made a strong first impression.
Twins Roman and Cash Felber were joined by fellow American Ethan Carney and British newcomer Kit Belofsky, with all four showing encouraging pace during Thursday’s practice. In Saturday morning qualifying, Cash led the Fortec quartet with an impressive sixth place on his UK racing debut.
Race one
The opening race of the season took place later that afternoon. Cash settled into seventh, with Ethan ninth and Roman 12th. Kit ran strongly in 17th and avoided damage after contact from a rival at Coppice, before rejoining the fight for position. A track‑limits penalty ultimately dropped him down the order, but ahead the team secured a pair of top‑10 finishes: Cash in seventh and Ethan in 10th, with Roman 12th and Kit 26th.
Race two
Sunday morning’s second race was disrupted immediately by contact among the front‑runners into Turn One, leaving Cash with damage through no fault of his own. Further incidents on the exit of the corner sent both Roman and Kit off track before the red flags were shown.
Cash and Roman had already pitted on the initial start, requiring them to restart from the pit lane for the shortened 17‑minute contest. Ethan slipped to seventh in the early shuffle, while Kit climbed the order and came close to taking 11th with a bold late move. He ultimately crossed the line 12th, with Ethan sixth and the recovering Cash and Roman finishing 19th and 20th.
Race three
The final race of the weekend ran over 25 minutes and was immediately neutralised by the Safety Car following multiple opening‑lap incidents. Kit pitted for a fresh tyre, while Cash made a strong start to climb to sixth before a trip through the gravel halted his progress. Roman also ran wide, losing momentum, and Ethan was forced off track from ninth, costing him several places.
A late restart set up a short sprint to the flag, with positions changing throughout the field. At the finish, Ethan secured 11th, followed by Kit in 16th, Roman 19th, and Cash 20th.
Fortec Motorsports returns to Wera Tools British F4 action on 9/10 May, with three races around the tight and undulating Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent.
