Fortec Motorsports enjoyed a productive weekend in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, as Henry Joslyn secured three top nine finishes on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.

Unusually, qualifying took place on Friday, followed by race one that afternoon, owing to a 24-hour event on Saturday that shifted the schedule. Henry continued his strong start to the season, placing sixth quickest to ensure he would start all three races from within the top seven.

Lining up fourth for the opening contest, he maintained his position off the line before the Safety Car was deployed at the end of the first lap. From the restart he defended capably against several challenges, then gradually opened a gap to the cars behind, running comfortably to the chequered flag and collecting valuable championship points. “It was definitely an improvement after last weekend,” said Henry.

In race two, Henry made a solid getaway to hold seventh through the busy opening lap and capitalised on a rival’s misfortune ahead to move into sixth. Under sustained pressure, he defended well and then gained fifth place. A late-race Safety Car bunched the field for a final-lap shoot-out and despite being forced wide at one point, he recovered to cross the line in sixth, only to be reinstated to fifth following a post-race stewards’ decision that confirmed he had been unfairly denied racing room.

For the final contest, a less-than-ideal start dropped him to tenth on lap one, but once again the Safety Car intervened. On the restart he launched a series of incisive overtakes to climb back up to ninth, where he ultimately finished. “I had an unfortunate start but am happy I managed to get back through and come away with some points,” he reflected. “The other drivers were battling really hard, so I had to do it somewhere they wouldn’t expect, and happily it paid off. I am looking forward to the next few rounds and hope to get some podiums and maybe a few wins.”

Fortec Motorsports and Henry will return to Wera Tools British F4 action on 24–25 May, when the championship heads to Snetterton in Norfolk for rounds seven, eight and nine of the 2025 season.
