Fortec Motorsports returned to action in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, at Thruxton (25–26 July), where Roman Felber delivered his strongest performance of the season with a well‑earned seventh place.
The UK’s fastest circuit hosted Friday practice for Kit Belofsky, Ethan Carney, Cash Felber and Roman as the quartet acclimatised to the high‑speed layout. Qualifying on Saturday morning proved competitive, with Roman leading the Fortec group ahead of Kit, Cash and Ethan — all four within 0.6s of pole, underlining both their progress and the closeness of the field.
Race one
The opening race was halted almost immediately after a stalled car was collected off the line. Once restarted, Roman made strong early progress, climbing three places to 13th. As the pack settled, Kit ran 19th, Ethan 17th and Cash 21st before avoiding a spinning rival at the chicane and gaining ground.
A Safety Car with ten minutes remaining preceded a second red flag that ended the race early. Roman was initially classified 11th but later received a five‑second penalty for contact, dropping him to 17th.
Race two
Roman continued his upward trajectory in race two, gaining five positions across the opening laps before another Safety Car interruption. Kit also moved forward, climbing four places, while Cash made an excellent start with six overtakes. Ethan lost time avoiding incidents ahead.
With ten minutes remaining, racing resumed and Roman held tenth, while Cash slipped back after avoiding contact between two cars — an incident that triggered another Safety Car and prevented further green‑flag running. Post‑race penalties elevated Roman to seventh, marking his best result of the season.
Race three
The final 25‑minute contest began with another strong opening lap from the Fortec quartet: Roman gained four places, Kit three, Ethan five and Cash two before yet another Safety Car. After the restart, Cash briefly fell back before beginning a recovery drive.
Mid‑race, Kit was spun by a car behind and then collected heavily by another, forcing his retirement and bringing out another Safety Car. During the same period, Roman pulled off with a front‑right puncture, ending his promising weekend. Ethan and Cash pressed on, climbing steadily in the closing laps to finish 11th and 15th respectively.
The F4 British Championship now pauses for one month before resuming at Donington Park on 22–23 August, while Fortec Motorsports returns to the track next weekend as the GB3 and GB4 Championships head to Silverstone (1–2 August).
