Fortec Motorsports displayed strong pace and impressive overtaking throughout the opening rounds of the 2026 GB4 Championship at Silverstone (25/26 April), with returnee Thomas Ingram Hill joined by debutants Franciszek Cegielski and Jordyn Martin, both also contesting the newly launched Rookie Cup.
After practice and testing on Thursday and Friday, the trio headed into Saturday qualifying where Thomas set the fifth‑fastest time. Jordyn was 14th and second among the Rookies, while Franciszek showed encouraging speed but was required to start from the back of the grid for all three races.
Race One
The opening race took place later that afternoon under warm, bright conditions. Thomas slipped back one place at the start but quickly reclaimed the position with a decisive move as a rival ran wide. Behind, Franciszek charged through the field, gaining 10 places before the Safety Car was deployed midway through the 20‑minute contest.
Racing resumed for a five‑minute sprint to the finish. Franciszek continued his progress to take 15th and top Rookie honours, while Jordyn fought for 17th before contact ahead delayed him, eventually finishing 22nd.
Race Two
Cooler, overcast conditions greeted the grid on Sunday morning. A technical issue forced Franciszek to start from the pit lane, while Thomas made a strong launch before taking contact through Maggots. He held the car superbly to remain fourth as the Safety Car was deployed, with Jordyn gaining four places and Franciszek three.
The race went green with 10 minutes remaining, and Thomas immediately moved into third before another Safety Car period led to red flags. With the order rolled back one lap, Thomas was classified fourth, Jordyn 14th, and Franciszek 21st.
Race Three
Warmer conditions returned for the final race, with all three Fortec drivers immediately involved in battles. Thomas gained one place to run seventh before recovering after contact from a rival forced him to run wide. Jordyn held 18th, while Franciszek climbed nine positions to 21st before a Safety Car and subsequent red flag.
The restart was for 10 minutes but before a lap was completed the Safety Car was called when Tom had to stop with rear wing damage. There was time for just one final lap under green conditions, during which Franciszek delivered a superb charge to finish 14th, with Jordyn close behind in 16th — the pair taking fourth and fifth in the Rookie Cup.
Fortec Motorsports returns to GB4 Championship action for rounds four, five and six at Oulton Park in Cheshire on 23–25 May.
