Fortec Motorsports completed its 2026 Wera Tools British F4 Championship campaign at Brands Hatch (10-11 October), with encouraging performances in the final race of the season helping the team round out the year on a positive note.

Roman and Cash Felber were joined once again by Ethan Carney and Indonesian racer Qarrar Firhand, making his second appearance with the team. In qualifying, Roman narrowly edged twin brother Cash by just 0.02s, while Ethan was a further two tenths adrift and Qarrar continued to gain experience at the Kent circuit.

Race one

Qarrar enjoyed an impressive start to Saturday afternoon’s opening contest, gaining five places in the opening laps while avoiding trouble around him. Further ahead, Roman held 12th, Cash slipped to 14th and Ethan ran 20th before an early Safety Car interrupted proceedings.

Two neutralisations limited opportunities to progress through the field. As the race entered its closing stages, Cash and Roman briefly traded positions before Cash eventually secured 18th at the flag, with Roman 22nd, Ethan 26th and Qarrar 27th.

Race two

Sunday morning’s second race brought frustration for Roman, whose strong run ended on lap two following contact at the high-speed Hawthorn Bend, sending him into the barriers and forcing his retirement.

Elsewhere, Ethan and Cash both gained places during the opening laps, while Qarrar’s race was compromised by an unscheduled pit stop. A late restart provided one final opportunity to advance, with Ethan capitalising on a rival’s mistake to finish 15th. Cash recovered from damage that required a front wing change to climb back to 25th, while Qarrar crossed the line 27th.

Race three

With Roman unable to take the start following his earlier accident, Fortec’s remaining trio focused on ending the season on a high.

Ethan made the strongest opening lap of the race, gaining five positions, while Cash also moved forward and Qarrar continued his development with another confident start. As the race unfolded, Ethan and Cash remained firmly in contention just outside the top ten, while Qarrar recovered from a mid-race setback to regain lost ground in the closing stages.

By the chequered flag, Ethan and Cash had secured encouraging 11th and 12th place finishes respectively, while Qarrar completed the weekend in 24th, capping another valuable learning experience in car racing.

Fortec Motorsports will now enjoy a well-earned break following a busy 2026 campaign before turning its attention to winter testing and preparations for the 2027 season.
