Fortec Motorsports endured a challenging weekend in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, at Silverstone (26–27 September), as the team welcomed Indonesian racer Qarrar Firhand for his car racing debut.
Qarrar joined Ethan Carney and brothers Roman and Cash Felber after claiming victory in the WSK Euro Series karting championship. Following pre-event practice, the quartet tackled Saturday morning qualifying, with Roman leading the way in 16th when the two groups were combined. Ethan was 28th, Qarrar 29th and Cash 30th.
Race one
Cash was the standout mover in the opening race, gaining eight positions on the opening lap to climb into 22nd. Ethan and Qarrar each made progress, while Roman dropped back during the hectic early stages before the Safety Car was deployed.
Two interruptions limited green-flag running, leaving little opportunity for drivers to advance through the order. In the closing laps, Roman climbed to 18th and Cash also moved forward before the pair exchanged positions. At the flag, Cash was 18th, Roman 22nd, Ethan 26th and Qarrar 27th.
Race two
Sunday morning’s second contest began positively for both Cash and Roman, who quickly worked their way forward through the field, while Ethan also gained ground in the opening laps.
Unfortunately, Qarrar was forced into the pits with a problem and lost several laps before rejoining. Cash’s impressive charge was then halted by an off-track excursion that dropped him to the back of the field. Refusing to give up, he cut a 14-second deficit to less than five seconds by the finish, but ran out of laps to make further progress.
Race three
The final race was red flagged almost immediately after a stalled car on the grid was struck by another competitor. While both drivers escaped unharmed, Cash was caught up in the incident and unable to take the restart.
When racing resumed, Roman led the Fortec challenge in 14th, with Ethan and Qarrar close behind. Track-limits penalties in the closing stages reshuffled the order and ultimately impacted both Roman and Qarrar. In the final classification, Roman was 13th, Ethan 17th and Qarrar 21st.
Fortec Motorsports returns to Wera Tools British F4 action on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit over 10–11 October for the final three races of the 2026 season.
