Fortec Motorsport continued its strong GB4 Championship form at Snetterton (15–16 August), with Thomas Ingram Hill securing an overall podium and Franciszek Cegielski once again taking Rookie honours.

The team carried encouraging pace from Thursday and Friday’s running into qualifying, where Thomas set the third‑fastest time, Franciszek was ninth overall and second Rookie, and Jordyn Martin took 13th as the third quickest Rookie.

Race one

For Saturday’s opener Franciszek started seventh, Thomas eighth following a grid penalty and Jordyn 13th. Both Thomas and Franciszek immediately moved forward, soon finding themselves in a tight fight for sixth. That battle became one for fifth when the former made a clean move into Turn Three, and the pair gained another position when a car ahead retired.

Thomas set the fastest lap as he closed onto the leading group but ultimately took a strong fourth. Franciszek followed him home in fifth, securing another Rookie victory, while Jordyn climbed two places to finish just outside the top ten and was second of the Rookies.

Race two

Sunday morning’s race began with a delay after a car stopped on the formation lap. Thomas challenged for second at the start before settling into third, while Franciszek moved into 11th and Jordyn held 13th as the Safety Car was then deployed.

With ten minutes remaining, racing resumed, but Jordyn was forced off line in a midfield shuffle and lost ground, while Franciszek slipped back one place on the final lap. Thomas maintained third to secure his third podium in four races, with Franciszek 12th and second Rookie, and Jordyn 17th and fourth Rookie.

Race three

The final contest — marking the 100th race in GB4 Championship history — featured a partially reversed grid. Franciszek lined up fourth but struggled off the line, while Thomas launched superbly, gaining three places into Turn Two. Jordyn also made a strong start but was delayed when a spinning car forced her wide before the Safety Car was called.

Both Jordyn and Franciszek pitted, though the latter was unable to continue. When racing resumed, Thomas capitalised as two cars ahead made contact, moving into fifth just before another Safety Car and a red flag ended the contest early. Thomas was classified fifth, with Jordyn 13th and second of the Rookies.

Fortec Motorsport returns to GB4 action on 5–6 September at Donington Park, where the GB3 Championship will also be in action. The team heads to the same venue next weekend (22–23 August) for the latest rounds of the F4 British Championship.
