Fortec Motorsports is delighted to announce that Dan Hickey will return to the team for 2024, taking part in the full GB4 Championship season.

The 21-year-old took part in the final round of the 2023 season, making his single seater debut after completing an extensive testing programme as part of the team’s continued commitment to developing talented young drivers.

The Leicestershire-based racer scored a well-earned 10th place finish at the final round of last year’s season – at Donington Park in October – putting all his practice into place, competing on track with other drivers for the first time.

Continuing the hard work this winter, Dan has been testing in the United Kingdom and Europe with the team, building up laps and knowledge ready to hit the ground running when the 2024 campaign opens at Oulton Park.

That opening weekend takes place over Easter (March 30-April 1), with seven meetings and 27 races in total, at Silverstone, Donington Park, Snetterton, and Brands Hatch making up the full calendar.

Dan Hickey

“I am thrilled to be returning to the GB4 championship with Fortec Motorsports for a full campaign this season. Having gained valuable experience during my debut at the final round last year, I am eagerly anticipating the challenges that lie ahead in the upcoming season.

“Remaining with a great team like Fortec, who have significantly contributed to my growth as a driver since I joined, means that I am confident that we can achieve great results on track together.”

Oliver Dutton, Team Manager

“We’re really happy to welcome Dan back for a full season in the GB4 Championship after his race debut with us at Donington Park last year. He did well that weekend, battling back from adversity to score a 10th place finish.

“Dan has been working hard throughout the winter, in testing and off track, so we’re looking forward to getting the year started at Oulton Park and seeing what we can achieve together.”
