Fortec Motorsports concluded the 2026 GB4 Championship season in style at Brands Hatch (26–27 September), securing the Rookie title, two overall podium finishes, two Rookie victories and ending the campaign with the highest-classified female driver in the standings.
Thomas Ingram Hill added two more podiums to his season tally to finish fourth in the Drivers’ Championship, while Franciszek Cegielski sealed the Rookie crown with his ninth and 10th class victories of the year. Jordyn Martin capped a season of steady progress by finishing as the highest-placed female competitor in the championship, earning a €50,000 contribution towards a potential F1 Academy campaign in 2027.
Race One
The opening race proved productive despite early setbacks. Thomas lost a position off the line, while Franciszek initially gained ground before dropping back after losing momentum through the first corner. Jordyn suffered damage on the opening lap and was forced into the pits, but a timely Safety Car period allowed her to catch the pack before the restart.
With just over six minutes remaining, the trio pushed forward in their respective battles. Thomas secured his fifth podium of the season with third place, Franciszek finished eighth overall to clinch another Rookie victory, and Jordyn recovered strongly to take 19th on the final lap.
Race Two
A delayed start following an engine failure on the grid interrupted the build-up to Sunday’s second contest. Once underway, Thomas settled into third and remained firmly in podium contention throughout, while Franciszek capitalised on a mistake ahead to move into fifth.
Further back, Jordyn battled hard in the midfield and was rewarded for her persistence in the closing stages, gaining a position at Paddock Hill Bend before being classified 18th following a penalty for another driver.
At the front, Thomas secured another podium finish, while Franciszek’s sixth-place result not only delivered another Rookie victory but also confirmed the 2026 Rookie Championship title.
Race Three
Rain before the final race created challenging conditions, but Franciszek adapted quickly and climbed to fourth by the second lap. Thomas and Jordyn initially held position before becoming embroiled in close midfield battles.
As the race developed, Franciszek maintained his place inside the top five (though a post-race judicial decision dropped him to ninth), while Thomas recovered from a difficult opening phase to finish seventh. Jordyn was classified 14th, securing enough points to end the season as the highest-classified female driver in the championship standings and earn the €50,000 F1 Academy prize contribution.
Fortec Motorsports has established an impressive record in GB4, now having secured two Drivers’ titles and one Rookie title in the five seasons of the championship to date. The team intends to return for the 2027 campaign, with driver announcements to follow in due course.
