Fortec Motorsports continued its strong run of form in the GB4 Championship at Donington Park (5–6 September), securing a Rookie victory and collecting five overall top‑10 finishes across the weekend.

The team showed encouraging pace in pre‑event practice, and qualifying delivered another competitive spread: Thomas Ingram Hill fourth, Franciszek Cegielski seventh and fastest Rookie, and Jordyn Martin 18th and fifth Rookie.

Race one

Franciszek made a strong start and settled in behind Thomas, who had to defend firmly in the early laps before establishing himself in sixth. Franciszek initially held ninth before slipping to tenth, while Jordyn ran 19th during the opening phase.

All three were involved in tight battles, but a Safety Car with under ten minutes remaining limited further progress. On the restart, Thomas pressed hard but was unable to break into the top five, Franciszek received a five‑second track‑limits penalty, and Jordyn fought well to finish 16th.

Race two

Sunday morning’s race began positively for the trio. Thomas challenged for fifth into Turn One before the Safety Car was deployed prior to the completion of the opening lap. Once racing resumed, Jordyn produced an excellent move around the outside through two corners to take 16th, while Franciszek held 12th.

A second Safety Car followed, and on the next restart Thomas executed a superb pass around the outside at Turn One to secure fifth, which he held to the flag. Franciszek finished 11th overall and claimed the Rookie victory, while Jordyn continued her charge with three late passes before a puncture — through no fault of her own — sent her spinning into retirement at the final corner.

Race three

Franciszek lined up fifth for the partially reversed‑grid finale and immediately came under pressure from Thomas, who challenged for sixth. Their battle allowed a rival to pass both cars before a Safety Car interruption. With less than ten minutes remaining, racing briefly resumed and Thomas slipped to eighth.

A further incident brought the Safety Car back out shortly afterwards, and with time expired there were no additional racing laps. Franciszek finished seventh, Thomas eighth and Jordyn 17th.

Fortec Motorsports returns to GB4 Championship action on 26–27 September, for the final three races of the 2026 season.
