Fortec Motorsports delivered a strong set of results in the GB4 Championship at Oulton Park (23 – 25 May), securing all three Rookie Cup victories and a trio of overall top‑five finishes during a hot and demanding Bank Holiday weekend.
After testing and practice on Thursday and Friday, qualifying took place on Saturday morning. Thomas Ingram‑Hill set the fifth fastest time, with Franciszek Cegielski eighth overall and quickest of the Rookies, while Jordyn Martin placed 17th and third in the Rookie classification.
Race One
Thomas made an assertive start on Saturday afternoon, defending his position while searching for a route into third as Franciszek and Jordyn also got away cleanly. Midway through the 20‑minute contest, Jordyn spun and dropped down the order, while Thomas and Franciszek found themselves running in turbulent air, limiting overtaking opportunities. At the finish, Thomas secured fourth, Franciszek claimed the Rookie win in eighth overall, and Jordyn recovered to 25th.
Race Two
After a rest day on Sunday, the team returned to action on a hot and sunny Bank Holiday Monday. All three drivers made strong launches, with Thomas challenging for third before settling into fourth, and Jordyn climbing four places to 11th.
Following a Safety Car period, racing resumed with 11 minutes on the clock. Thomas immediately pressured the cars ahead in pursuit of the podium places as Jordyn continued her progress, moving into tenth and taking second of the Rookies. Thomas recorded another fourth‑place finish, while Franciszek secured a second consecutive Rookie victory with eighth overall.
Race Three
The final race featured the reversed grid for the top‑12 qualifiers. Franciszek held fifth in the early stages, Thomas slipped to 12th, and Jordyn climbed to 15th before the Safety Car was deployed and the race was halted to allow barrier repairs.
The restart returned the field to original grid positions. This time Thomas made rapid progress, gaining three places to run fifth, where he remained to the flag. Franciszek slipped back initially but recovered to complete a perfect hat‑trick of Rookie wins with ninth overall, while Jordyn finished 15th and third among the Rookies.
The GB4 Championship squad returns to action at Donington Park on 26/27 June, while this coming weekend (28–31 May) the team heads to Spa‑Francorchamps in Belgium for the next rounds of the GB3 Championship.
